ARTIST PENSION TRUST ("APT") has adopted information management guidelines that define our customer relationships. These guidelines disclose the privacy policies for the aptglobal.org web site (the "Web-Site").
YOUR USE OF THE WEB SITE IS CONDITIONED UPON YOUR CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION AND USE OF ANY INFORMATION BY APT AS STATED IN THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT OR USE THE WEB SITE.
What this Privacy Statement Covers? This Privacy Statement covers APT's treatment of information that APT may collect when you visit, surf or use our Website. This Privacy Statement does not cover the information practices exercised by other providers of products or services, advertisers or other web-sites, or companies/people that APT does not own or control, or does not employ or manage. We would like to emphasize that APT is not and cannot be responsible for the content or the privacy policies of Web sites to which it may link or Web sites that link to APT's Web site.
What information does APT gather and/or track about you? Registration: When you register to become an APT Member or when you fill out any of the forms available on the Web site, including, the Artist Application, APT requires that you supply your full contact details, details about your artwork, your resume and additional information as stated in the registration/form page. Anonymous Information: APT may also gather anonymous information, which may be used by APT or shared with third parties. This information does not personally identify you but may be helpful for improving the services we offer. Generally this information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies", "IP addresses", or other numeric codes used to identify a computer.
Cookies: "Cookies" are small text files, which are stored on the hard drive of a user's computer. The Web Site may use cookies for various reasons. Cookies enable us to provide you with a better experience by allowing us to understand what areas of the Web site are of interest to our visitors. These cookies do not track individual information. IP Addresses: APT also logs IP addresses for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes (Your IP address indicates the location of your computer on the Internet). We do not log IP addresses to track your session, nor do we link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.
Letters to APT: If you send APT personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send correspondence to APT about your activities or postings on the Web Site, APT may collect such information into a file specific to you. What does APT do with the information it gathers and/or tracks? Statistical Analysis: APT may perform statistical analysis of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of our Web site inter alia, for Web site development purposes. Personal information about you as an individual subscriber or registrant will not be provided to any third party, except when we have your permission or unless we are compelled to do so by law or court order.
Email: Using the email addresses provided at registration, APT may periodically send promotional email to its subscribers about APT. APT may contact you regarding account status, changes to the Terms of Use, and to confirm registration. Curatorial Committee: APT will process your application through the Curatorial Committee and will notify you of the Curatorial Committee's decision in due course.
With whom does APT share the information it gathers and/or tracks? APT may share the information it gathers in a compiled format with its affiliates and other partners. We do not release personal information about you as an individual to third parties, except when we have your permission or unless we are compelled to do so by law or court order. APT will provide you all of your personal information upon request. This information will only be sent to the email address on file for the subscriber ID associated with it.
What choices do you have, as a user, regarding the collection and use of information? Removal from Mailing Lists: If you wish to remove your information from APT email mailing lists and stop receiving future email communications and mail marketing from APT you may unsubscribe by an email to: info@aptglobal.org
Disabling Cookies: If you do not wish APT to monitor your activity on the APT's Web Site, or you choose not to access, correct or update your demographic or personally identifiable information on the Web Site, you may choose to disable your Web browser's (Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.) ability to accept cookies. You may do so by: (1) following the directions provided with your Web browser; (2) managing the contents of the cookies.txt file directly, or; (3) by using 3rd party cookie management tools. What if the Privacy Statement Changes? APT is constantly innovating and implementing new features in its Web Site, all to provide the best possible user experience. This Privacy Statement, despite our efforts, may not always specifically deal with all arising privacy issues. Therefore, this statement will continue to evolve as our operations evolve. APT welcomes user feedback on any privacy concerns you may have, and on how to improve our products generally, in all stages of release. Please address such feedbacks to: info@aptglobal.org You agree that your continuing to use the Web Site, for a period of 30 days after such notice has been provided on the above URL for the first time, shall constitute your consent to the new or revised Privacy Statement. A Special Note About Children Children are not eligible to use aptglobal.org and we ask that minors not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you should use this service in conjunction with a parent or guardian.
